India’s continuous interference in
Pakistan’s affairs through her intelligence agency RAW can be traced back to
the times of independence from the British rule. India and Pakistan have fought
three major wars on the Kashmir issue.
RAW Involvement in Balochistan Pakistan |
And India has been interfering in
Pakistan’s domestic affairs since decades. In June 2015, the Indian Prime
Minister Modi, during his visit to Bangladesh openly admitted that India was
involved in the activities to destabilize Pakistan. He expressed his views that
India had no regrets for assisting Mukti-Bahini Movement for creating
Bangladesh. Furthermore, he elaborated that he was one of the young volunteers
who came to Delhi in 1971, to participate in the Satyagraha Movement, launched
by Jana Sangh, as a volunteer to support Mukti-Bahini. The international
community has witnessed the brutalities of Mukti-Bahini in East Pakistan which
eventually led to an Indo-Pakistan war in 1971. Pakistan took a serious notice
of this statement. Then Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs,
Sartaj Aziz, stated that the Indian Prime Minister’s remarks in Bangladesh
regarding Indian support to the Mukti-Bahani forces be considered as a
confessional statement about interference in the internal affairs of the
erstwhile East Pakistan. He further stated that Modi’s statement had an
objective to create anti-Pakistan sentiments in Bangladesh. Furthermore, he
called upon the UN to take serious notice of the Indian Prime Minister’s
statement which is a clear violation of the UN charter (UNGA 2131XX 1965) on
external interference. Similarly, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the
UN, Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi, has also submitted a dossier on India’s inference
and terrorism in Pakistan to the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres. The
dossier contains all the information and evidences of the interference of the
RAW, and its involvement in the terrorist activities in Balochistan, Federally
Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Karachi. The terrorist activities, being
carried out by India are a clear violation of the UN Charte, the resolutions of
the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on counter-terrorism and
international conventions on terrorism testimony the facts.
Since Balochistan has somehow been
remained politically and economically neglected area due to stubbornness of
feudal lords of the area, its vulnerabilities provided enough fodder to the
foreign involvement. Pakistan has also invariably indentified the Indian and
foreign interference in Balochistan since past decades and has repeatedly
highlighted the issue of foreign involvement in Pakistan’s domestic affairs.
Though, to find an evidence of the interference, particularly by another
country to support insurgencies in their rival countries, has always been an
uphill task. But recently, the Indian spying network has been exposed in
Pakistan, when eight members of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad got
expelled from Pakistan in November 2016. They were found involved in creating
disturbances / unrest and were working undercover for their intelligence bureau
and RAW. Pakistan’s Foreign Office claimed that they have contacts with the
Tehreek-eTaliban Pakistan (TTP), which is a terrorist organization in Pakistan.
This issue has been raised in almost every meeting between the Indian and Pakistani
leadership. They have been, time and again, reminded of their support for the
Baloch Separatists and TTP to destabilize Pakistan through India’s expanded
presence in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is also being named as a facilitator of
the Baloch insurgents. It is believed that the training camps, weapons, and
money are all being routed through Afghanistan. The arrest of Kubhushan Yadev
in Balochistan is yet another evidence of the Indian interference in Pakistan.
An Indian serving naval officer, Kulbhushan Yadev got arrested by the law
enforcement agencies of Pakistan in March 2016, when he was trying to enter
Pakistan from the Saravan region, located in Balochistan, Pakistan.
Baloch insurgents have been
consistently denying Indian support and have been portraying their hostile
activities as indigenously propelled. But in a recent development, a prominent
‘Baloch activist cum journalist’ Ahmar Mustikhan, who is also the founder of
the American Friends of Balochistan (AFB) group, has caused real embarrassment
for anti state elements in Balochistan. As a matter of fact the startling
revelations of Mr. Ahmer Mastikhan have exposed the entire game plan of RAW
hatched since 2001 to foment terrorism in Balochistan. He is open in expressing
his admiration of India and also calls himself an Indian supporting PM Modi and
Hindus asking their help on Baluchistan issue. Ahmer Mastikhan took his twitter
account to address Indian Public and to Indian PM Modi. He criticized Indian
policy of funding militancy in Balochistan and killing innocent Baloch people.
He questioned the policy of RAW of providing at least 15 Million USD to each of
three Baloch militant organizations, i.e., Lashkar-e-Balochistan led by Javed
Mengal, United Baloch Army led by Mr. Mehran Marri and Balochistan Republican
Army led by Brahamdagh Bugti.
Mr. Masti Khan claims that Indian RAW
has paid over 800 Million USD to militants waging war and harming the innocent
people of Balochistan. Among others, he also named the World Baloch
Organization (WBO) and Balochistan House which have been running poster
campaigns against Pakistan in Geneva, London, Washinton and New York. He
questioned absurd wastage of at least 10 million USD each in advertisement
campaigns orchestrated in Washington, Geneva and in rest of Europe for free
Balochistan from the forums of these, militant organizations. He also calls RAW
a bogus and useless organization and alleges the spy agency of misappropriating
at least 35-40% of the total money earmarked to “Help Balochistan”. In one of
his previous press conferences from Geneva Mr. Masti Khan quotes a Balochi
saying, ‘I did not catch the thief, the thief caught me’. It looks that this
time RAW could not catch Ahmer Masti Khan, instead he caught the organization.
Mr. Masti Khan is sure that RAW’s plans of supporting terrorism and militancy
in Balochistan through the desk officer Nagesh Bhushan are going to fail. He
asks critical questions from Mr. Modi and Indian people about their policy and
asks them to stop bombing Balochistan and instead help build Balochistan like
China.
The
revelations from Mr. Masti Khan are yet another proof of Indian RAW sponsored
terrorism in Balochistan after Kulbhushan Yadav.
It is mentionable that sincere Baloch
leaders from inside and abroad have always expressed their concerns about
Indian RAW sponsored insurgency in Balochistan. Dr. Jumma Khan Marri, a
self-exiled Baloch nationalist leader and intellectual has recently parted ways
from Baloch separatist elements like Brahamdagh Bugti, Hyrbyar Marri and Mehran
Marri accusing them of being completely controlled by India Intelligence Agency
RAW and for being on its pay-roll. He announced launching of “Overseas
Pakistani Balochi Community” at an event in Moscow, to celebrate Pakistan Unity
Day under the slogan ‘united we stand, divided we fall’. Dr. Marri has been
living in Moscow for the past two decades and is one of the senior political
activists of the Baloch movement. It is said that he had designed the
movement’s flag. He is the son of former guerilla leader Mir Hazar Khan Marri,
who was a key player in Baloch movement and leading the insurgency during the
1970s. He explained that the new organization would counter the ongoing Free
Balochistan Movement.
One of the main reasons for Dr. Jumma
Khan’s changed stance is that today’s so-called Baloch movement is completely
hijacked by Indian RAW. To him, Pakistan is trying its level best to address
real concerns of Baloch people through development projects with CPEC is the
glaring example. It is important to understand the logic behind confessional
video of Mr. Ahmer Masti Khan as the leadership of these organizations and
intellectual front men have failed to satisfy their masters about their
usefulness. Lack of interest of RAW has forced Mr. Ahmer Masti Khan to raise
his voice and spoil the game plan of others as well. Though Ahmer Masti Khan’s
original pain about RAW is not yet known but there are reports that the RAW is
focusing on younger generation and opting for soft revolutions. Unfortunately
they have failed to find a Manzoor Pashteen type people in Baloch youngsters,
but in doing so they have been exposed very badly by one of their faithful.
Baloch people now understand that the so called Baloch insurgent leaders
sitting and enjoying abroad are sincere to none but to their own self. Those
chanting slogans of freeing Balochistan are paid for each slogan and for each
poster they display. Their dream of development and peace in Balochistan is
becoming true. Those playing in the hands of RAW, need to put down the weapons
and follow people like Dr. Jumma Khan.
Ahmer Masti Khan’s story is an eye
opener for those opting to join RAW sponsored camps. Academia, the opinion
makers and political workers in Pakistan need to stand for the people of
Pakistan who want peace and progress and not for the enemies who want
confusion, frustration and Fassad in this land of peace and pure. They also
need to understand the sinister plan behind switch over of tactics and know
that RAW supporting insurgent leadership sitting abroad has decided to dump the
old horses and are opting for newer trends to ignite youth through soft
revolutions like Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement.
