India is the largest
democracy in the world with second largest population in the World.
However,
this democracy is under serious threat since the arrival of Modi led Sangh
Parivar’s into power.
World is consciously noting the human rights violations
being committed against Dalits, Muslims and other minorities. Secular character
of India is under threat. People of Kashmir face Indian brutalities in their
lawful and internationally recognized right to self-determination. However,
Indian leadership is bent to divert world's attention away from these important
issues.
In a bid to control internal situation, Prime Minister Modi has opened
different fonts against Pakistan.
It was in this sequel he threatened Pakistan
to be ready to face consequences in Balochistan.
Balochistan is the
largest province of Pakistan by virtue of area as well as the natural
resources. Strategic location of Balochistan has added more to the important of
the province. The province has remained center of international conspiracies
since cold war era when formerly USSR sowed the seeds of sub nationalism.
However with the demise of USSR, the game has been taken over by a host of new
actors. Arrival of extra regional forces in Afghanistan has further aggravated
the situation and at present the province can be rightly declared as the hub of
conspiracies against the state of Pakistan. However, all the trouble in
Balochistan is being orchestrated through Indian involvement, and other HIAs
operating from Afghan soil.
RAW surrogates
supporting restlessness in Balochistan have been closely monitoring the loosing
game of Sardar led insurgency. As an alternate they have started contacting and
using second tier leadership to further their cause of harming Pakistan. This
strategy will have dual impact. Firstly; it will be comparatively cheap for the
sponsors to buy lower tier commanders. Secondl; if given direct patronage these
leaders may be more effective to spread terrorism in Pakistan. Recent visit of
Kandahar based Ferrari leader Aslam Baloch to India and contacts with spy
agency RAW indicate this new trend. This visit has caused concerns in
self-exiled Baloch Sardars. There are growing news of rift between different
factions and tiers of insurgents. To accredit themselves, insurgents have
declared their fight as indigenous, a fact proved false every time. Indian
RAW’s support to Aslam Baloch led faction, patronage of so called social
activists; activities of Kulbhushan Yadev and protection provided to the
leadership irritate Baloch people.
Public opinion about
insurgency is also fast changing. Path correction by Government has a lot do
with change in public opinion. Huge development in Balochistan, especially
after practical implementation of CPEC is also an incentive for the people.
People of Balochistan are also closely monitoring the opposition to their
development being posed by various elements. They watch the insurgents and
their foreign masters raising voices against Balochistan's economic
developments and wonder what have they been following. After seeing these
facts, large number of Ferrari commanders are surrounding and voluntarily
joining hands with the Law Enforcement Agencies. Over 500 field fighters and
commanders have willingly handed over their weapons to Government and joined
mainstream since 2016. Both Federal and Provincial governments are expected to
provide good settlement opportunities to these ex fighters.
Government and people
of Pakistan have also realized their role in new environment. Pakistan Army has
voluntarily dropped the idea of building new cantonments and has diverted funds
for education, health, mining, provision of jobs in Army, infrastructural
development and multiple other socio-economic projects. State of the Art
educational facilities are being provided to Baloch students through Military
College Sui and rest of federal Government, Army and Frontier Corps
administered institutions. The effort has so far educated over 20, 000 Baloch
students in last 3-5 Years. Pak Army led efforts have provided jobs to over
100, 000 Balochs including over 17000 in its own ranks. Federal Government has
also taken many positive steps to eradicate the deprivations and miseries of
the people. Recent Inauguration of Kachhi canal by PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to
irrigate 72000 acres of Dera Bugti is one major initiative. Similarly, focus on
good governance and allotment of proper share of funds to Balochistan is being
ensured. Law enforcement agencies are alert and it is hoped that Balochistan
will soon get its due share of peace, development and prosperity to become best
province in Pakistan.
